We came partly because of their kid's room and partly because of their fish & chips! We visited in a Saturday around 5:30 and had the upstairs to ourselves for most of the time. The playroom is great with a lot to keep my 2-year old happy. We ordered the kids fish and chips, the oyster po boy, and the fried chicken sandwich. The fish was tasty, with a light crispy batter. The fries also had the perfect level of crisp! The po boy was good, but not something I'd likely order again. The fried chicken was also good, but we've had better and my husband commented that it was a little dry. Service was friendly. The man working told us about the long history of the restaurant and showed us some pictures! It was easy to order and our food was brought out timely and hot. My husband enjoyed the beer selection, and pints of the IPA's he ordered were a solid $6. Overall, would suggest this place as a meet up with family and friends with kids!

I've driven passed here for years and always wanted to stop because of the giant "fish and chips" sign, and I am soooooo glad I finally did! A fireplace roars with jazz downstairs while upstairs hosts a cozy family space with tvs and a child's playroom. The food was amazing and the service was attentive. I can't wait to go back!

Fish sandwich was amazing! The owner history is place, using to Crab Bowl. What owner delight, and cheerful service. Old very building a 70 ish, upstairs bathrooms a cold. We was a Winter time. Downstairs in a meal and my husband beer and I have clam chowder and Fish Sandwich!! Delicious!!

Wow! What a find. Don't ever judge a book by its cover. From Barbur Blvd the place looks relatively nondescript, but man inside it's a gem. And the food... Oh Boy Probably the best fish and chips I've ever eaten at a very affordable price. Michael, our server and manager was THE BEST! FRIENDLY and very FUN establishment very highly recommend

The owners bartender called in tonight so he was working himself (David). The food was fantastic (I watched the cook work, he was quick and efficient). The service was fantastic and even though the restaurant is a little cramped, they use what they have to the best advantage. We came in just before 5:00 p.m. on a Friday night and by the time we were done with dinner the place was packed. They have a good beer/cider selection, a bar plus a decent menu. Everything we saw being served looked great. My Boulevard Surpreme Burger was very goid and wife loved her fish sandwich. Definitely worth the try! We'll be back.

Great fish &chips. Hot, crispy, moist inside. Decent cole slaw, too. They were out of the first 3 beers I picked but the 4th one was really good, so that worked out fine.

FANTASTIC Fish n Chips for only $16. !! Honestly, you won't find better in Pdx. This place looks like a dive when you walk in, but upstairs, there is lots of light from big windows and a great, small outdoor deck with trees and interesting views. I got the 4 piece Fish n Chips. They were large pieces of cod, cooked to perfection in a light beer batter, crispy, and best of all, NOT GREASY. The tartar sauce and coleslaw are homemade and delicious. They even have "Portland Ketchup" for the fries, made with a little sugar, not high fructose corn syrup. I've been looking for an excellent F n C place for decades. Finally found this gem... you won't be disappointed. Good service too.

Love this spot, I wish it was in SE Portland, but it is still close. What a deal on raw Wallapa Bay oyster shooters!! My fav is the Oyster Po' Boy & their taplist never disappoints as well, always interesting. Funky cool old house, I believe, always great service. Family owned, so support local!!

Fish n Chips is my all time favorite. The best I had was in Cornwall, UK. This place is really the best Fish n Chips I have had in the U.S. I moved to Oregon from Los Angeles 2 yrs ago and there's a lot of variety and ways of cooking Fish n Chips there but, does not hit that specific crisp and batter taste. This place hits all the markers if you're a Fish n Chips lover, combined with their Cole Slaw and sauce...Uuuuwwee!!! Service was excellent. THANK YOU!!
